toolame not working

    i installed toolame put the correct information in, but when i push enter it starts for a second then i get an error message, im using windows xp. if someone can help me out here it would be appreciated.

    it doesnt really have an error message , the only thing that come up is the error repost form microsoft. is toolame supposed to work with windows xp, also i am running dvdx and all in one program for vcd, how would a person get rid of the little squares from popping up all the time once i play it back on my dvd player, stops and starts all the time to.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Rob, toolame works with XP. I have been using it.

    By 'little squares', do you mean the block noise in your mpeg video on VCD?

    i finally got toolame to work but what i did is change the setting from -p2 to -p1, can anyone tell me if this makes any difference, and yes it must be block noise.

    according to toolame's usage files, -p1 is the default, did you somehow change this? Do you use any other program or just DVDx ?? Maybe TMPGenc? That is what I use, and Toolame works great with TMPGenc and without having to supply command line switches.

    Ah, I only tried TMPG. Perhaps someone has tried this with DVDx? Anyone?
