I assume you tried Best Buy? I've never seen them at Wal-Mart, but BestBuy almost always has them. There isn't a Fry's in my area (maybe not even my state) but they are a really big electronics store, I'm sure they'd have them. CompUsa should have them aswell, OfficeDepot, SamsClub. Have you tried all of these places? You can ALWAYS find them online if you have a credit card, or checks, or PayPal lol

    Memorex DVD+R DL's (15 for $20)= ~$1.33 each
    Verbatim DVD+R DL's(20 for $24)= ~$1.20 each

Alot of the time Verbatim's end up being cheaper and yet they seem to be the highest quality, (atleast the MKM-001's are)

    1. Verbatim
    2. Verbatim
    3. Verbatim
    4. Verbatim
    5. Platinum (because these with the MKM 001 media code are identical to Verbatim, the other ones are crap)

Holly............. Its means I gotta search again !!! For the record, I am not from US ! I am from India & getting this brand in my city is pretty tough !!! I even tried Memorex, But the result was the same. The big problem in getting it online is that shipping charges would cost more than the disk cost. Does sony comes little closer ?

lol Jesus, your country/republic makes Verbatims (the lower quality ones).
But that doesn't necessarily mean they are shipped around your country.

You could always wait until an online dealer offers free shipping (of course I'm not sure if they only offer free shipping in the US).

Just so you know, Verbatim's are made by Mitsubishi and the reason they are so good is because of the dye they use. Have you seen Mitsubishi brand DVD+R DL's around town?

Memorex work just fine. Verbatim are flawless and won't have any coasters, with memorex about 1 out of 10 is a coaster. I think memorex will be fine. Best buy had em 50 pack for $30. 60 cents a piece! can't beat that, even with coasters. Ive used memorex for over a year now, so the discs last too.

The disks may last, but your drive won't.

I've heard this too. Even though your drive is reading the discs, it's overworking the laser which would cause an early laser failure.

I have never experienced this myself, but I have heard several people claim this.
