I just downloaded my first video file off of BitTorrent. How do I play the file I just downloaded? Do I need a special player or something?

what's the extention of the file? .torrent .rar .avi? if your running windows xp you need to go to mycomputer, the at the top, click on Tools, the Folder options... then click on the tab view then look under the second folder icon: three blocks under that icon is a checked box that says: 'hide known file extensions' of sumthing like that. make sure that it is off SO U CAN SEE EXTENSTION TYPES. If the file is .bittorent, you need bittorent to DL the real file. (go to bittorent.com to DL. if it is AVI then windows media player or real plyer should work, if they dont then youll need a codec. If it is a .rar or .zip file, you'll need winrar to unrar it. if it is any other extention. post it here and ill tell u what to do.
