hi peeps i have recently started downloading using torrents. im currently using bit commet however when im downloading it effects my internet connection. if i try to surf the net while downloading it will eventually tell that it cant find the server, i then have close down the explorer and wait about 5 mins before i cant surf again. could anyone help me in this problem. cheers
I don't have BitComet, but all bittorrent clients need to have their max upload speed capped at 80% of your overall upload speed or it will affect your internet surfing. Have you taken a speed test to determine your upload speed and adjusted BitComet's (File/Properties) upload speed? you might want to think about switching to another bittorrent client as bitcomet is banned by some trackers and users (such as myself). http://forums.torrentspy.com/showthread.php?t=24621
yeah yeah only if you sign up to some private trackers, theyre so many public i dont mind using Bit Comet , besides what is private soon goes public anyway. anyway i just update my BC.86 to .91 and keep getting kick off when surf'n , but i got the client ridiculously tweaked half life 50 , Max connection 400 , and Max per DL 250 on a PAM DUN . Ive also tried the other bit clients and always go back to BC , though i have'nt tried them in a while, BC always seems to have alot of tweak ability there many guides on this site on how to tweak for a balance balance between max DL and internet surf'n
do u know where i can find these guides and then i can give it ago. its taken me 5 attempts to write this reply due to losing the server.
you cant do much and if you net is laggy thats kind of good cuz you know that the torrent is using alot of your internets because it is downloading fast. i just torrent stuff when i go to bed. hope this kinnda helped lol.
