I recently purchased a toshiba 42HL167. I also have a PS3 and when I watch Blu-ray it is grainy in some movies but not others. I am really considering getting a Samsung 40 LN-T4061F. Does anybody have a comparable 1080p Samsung or Toshiba? What are your thoughts on any of these brands and their 1080p sets? Unrelated ? Why when playing a Blu-ray on a 1080p set is there black bars or letterbox present? I thought that a Blu-ray would fit perfectly on the set b/c of the resolution. Thanks
Because you bought the widescreen version of the movie. Resolution doesn't determine the aspect ratio of the movie.
