I recently purchased this machine 2nd hand(Boxed) off someone at work.(Apparently to complicated for him).I consider myself quite technically minded,however I am having a few minor problems! I thought I had got all the instructions.If so they are not very detailed!! I have got the "INSTALLATION GUIDE" and "QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE" but think i'm missing a operations manual?? There are a few features that can be accessed on this machine that are not mentioned in any of the instructions included. e.g "How to switch PDC on" (its current setting is off in the on-screen timer menu).Also on set up menu there is an option called DVD compatible mode which has 3 options (off,mode 1,mode 2) You would think that somewhere there would be more information!! I have spent ages looking this up on google etc.I have also looked on TOSHIBA web-site.I have also e-mailed Toshiba..All they did was give a link to there web-site that does not even list this model. Incidently I presume this model only supports DVD-R formats or can you use DVD+R formats as well?
I'd say that it's safe to assume your Toshiba only records to DVD-R and DVD-RW discs .. Toshiba DVD recorders/players are notorious for their dislike of '+' media ...
