I have Toshiba Dvd burner that came with my Sony Vaio PSV-RS220 Desktop. I just got the computer and had no hard drive so I put one in and works fine.First thing I did was go to sony.com for updates,I noticed a firmware update for toshiba burner so I installed that,dont know if thats the problem but I cant burn a dvd-r or rw using any program,I tryed nero 7,All it says is WAITING FOR DRIVE TO BE READY or something like that, it burns Cd-r's good just not dvd-r's,Also plays dvd movies good. Can any one tell me what wrong here.
I was also wandering if its possible to go back to the old firmware version to see if it works ? I should of tryed the dvd burner before I even upgraded the firmware in the first place but I didnt think it was a big deal and still dont think it is but I need an expert opinion for sure.
