I am haveing a problem with my DVD Burner. I can put a blank Memorex 8x DVD-R into the burner and the light will blink for approx. 30 sec. and then will stay lite (solid green). I have tried everything that I know. System manager says it is working. With no disc, the light is out. I am woundering if my drive is bad. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have the same problem with the one i have. I have the same burner, something must be up with our drives.
I have added an additional fan inside the cpu case and this seems to work. I think the drive unit has a thermal cut-out switch when it gets to hot and will not activate the drive.
