TOSHIBA ODD-DVD SD-R6252 double layer

    Hi All,

    I have a Compaq nx9030 laptop with the TOSHIBA ODD-DVD SD-R6252 drive and the latest firmware from HP. I am trying to burn on a double layer 8.5 gig media but the drive doesn't reconize the disc asa i insert the disc it keeps blinking and then the light stays on all the time and it's not detected either by the Roxio 7.5 or nero burn and the drive icon in My Computer doesn't change, can anyone help me out with this problem?

    sorry, but DVD toshiba R6252 on nx9030 is capable ONLY to write SINGLE LAYER +R / +RW DVD (no -R/-RW , no DualLayer)..

    I suggest you to upgrade firmware of toshiba ODD DVD SD-R6252 with 1a14 (search in google or any web search) to have it work correctly!!

    sorry for double post..
    I read U have Nero installed.. try Nero InfoTools to see what kind of media can read an write!!

    I have nx9030 too and I'm sure it can't write DL DVD, but check it
