Ok so i got this laptop from one of my buddies that he bought from one of his buddies, he brought it to me to clean up and everything originally the system already had what i made out to be maybe a software problem it took way to long to boot and when its about to show the log on screen in blue screens and crashes, so i started a clean install of windows vista home premium, the installation went fine without a hitch except while i was working in windows i noticed the system slowly started to like bog down like it dose after a few mnths of messing with it without cleaning it up from time to time. eventually i restarted it its been trying to start for the last 20 min it only shows the windows loading bar and thats it, i restarted a few times even restarted the bios. not really sure what the problem is any help would be greatly appreaciated
Dual core 2.00 Ghz , 1Gb of Ram ( 2 x 512mb) 120Gb Hdd Im fairly sure the chipset and Graphic card are from intel if the system every decides to boot i could i say but the laptops model is an toshiba satellite a205-s5804
need more ram as vista is a memory hog. remove the ram from their slots on the bottomside of the laptop, use a pencil eraser on the ram's gold contacts & re-install back into laptop. try 1 ram at a time to see if windows loads or not & expect it to be slow using a 512meg stick.
no diffrence it allowed me to do a clean isntall once again, after wich once i restart it just hangs on the boot screen
what is the hd configured as in the bios as in ide, sata or raid even tho i think the drive is sata? try resetting the bios to default settings to see what happens.
This fista is broken.. it's trying to blue screen but isn't finding the files it needs to even do that XD
