Toshiba VCR/DVD Player issues

    My Toshiba DVD player is skipping when I play a DVD. I bought a DVD cleaner for the player but that doesnt seem to work. Is there anything else that I can try?

    Are you using an original or a copy ?

    I've had issues with my Toshiba regarding playing my copies. I have model Sd4980 (with HDMI) and I found that some of my copies skip. The media I was using was Hypermedia (not the real bad one). This media worked for me on many types of players, however not on the Toshiba. I am now using MAXELL without incident.

    No this is with original DVD's.

    toshiba players are weird like that.. try a disk/lens cleaner, see if it helps. make sure it says dvd player compatible..
