    hi

I bought a wii D2C2, and bricked the drive ie. would not load or eject anything dead drive and also my wiikey2+clip whilst installing the wiikey2+clip ..
took it back and got both changed over.. New one works great.

    Questions..
1----Before installing the wiikey2 I played an original game that installed an update, Does anyone know whether or not this would have been the course of the bricking??
2----If installing mods in future (if this is the case) is their a way of reverting back to the original settings so this doesnt happen again??
3----And is their a list of games that has been made up that have updates so when bought and copied I can just brick block?

    1) Updates and modchips have nothing to do with each other. No update has ever effected the function of a modchip.
    2) Modchips dont change any settings, any changes they make are undone when you take them out.
    3) Pretty much all games have updates, but if you stick to games from your wii's home region you dont have to, and shouldn't, brickblock. You only need to brickblock games from different regions as only out-of-region updates can damage your wii.

I'm not sure what happened to your first wii drive and chip. My guess would be that you shorted something out when installing it. Make sure that the wiiclip is seated properly over the drive chip before you try starting anything up.
