Ok, I want to build a liquid cooled pc and well I want a touch screen lcd that I can use and incorporate in the case I will probably fiber glass it in but we will see how exactly I am going to do the asthetics, that will all be in my hands. Here is my questions.....

I want the touch screen to show me cpu usage and heat and system resources when I touch it, I also want to be able to see my desktop, and use it for navigation of windows, when its not being shown on the big screen, mainly for diagnostic issues, and if I am burning a cd or dvd, I can just click ok and set up the next one with out changing tv sources. I also want it when it is not in use to show a screen saver like fish or something so it looks like a small fish aquarium in the pc. Now with the liquid cooling I want it to show me the heat of the liquid when I use the temp sensors.

I hope thats enough info for what I want it to do. Here is what I am looking at

Ok thats alot and if you need I can just post pics instead of links to ebay auctions, but I really like the fake Ipod one the best cause I have found them from 3 inches to 3.6 inches and they are all under 60.00. My question though is could I use the fake Ipod touch as a touch screen for the pc, is there a possibility that I could hack it using the usb port on it, to show the pc, and of course I dont think it will have a video input either. With the smaller screen I am going to use a stylus for the pointer on the screen. So do you think the fake Ipod could be used, or do you think I should stick with screens that are meant to be used as touch screens for pc's and have the proper software. I really like the samsung arm9 too, it seems like it would make touch screen usage easy on any screen. I hope you guys can help me out this is really long and technical, I can figure it out on my own but I am getting low on cash flow with the liquid cooling I am building and so I cant buy anything and then take my chances, I can this summer but I want to try to get it started before I go back to work. Thanks again guys!

From what you are describing, it sounds like you will need something very specialized, here is why:
-You will need to mirror your monitor's display to do see the desktop/burning apps/etc...so you will need to run your main screen at a resolution supported by the smaller screen. This will also cause the fish screensaver to be either on both screens or neither (no PC aquarium while you surf the web)
-If you set it to display heat/resources when you touch it, this must be done trough a hardware monitor program that will also display on the big screen.
-Most mainboards do not have extra thermister spots; so you would need something that would read the signals from the radiator & resevoir & display them. At this point, it might was well be reading temps for the CPU(s), GPU(s), hard disks, northbridge.
-Is it possible to hack the fake ipod? Maybe if you are a top-notch programer.

Here is an idea for you:
-Get a few of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16811998047 - one for each thing you want displayed.
-Get a logitech G19 keyboard for the system resources (and lots of other stuff too)
-If you have a non-widescreen as your main display, you could use The 7" LCD (you will have to drop resolution to 1024x768 for both screens), but the other two displays do not have enough resolution to display windows, even in safe mode.
-You might also consider a small, non-touch screen for the 2nd desktop display...you could still use the mouse to control it, or you could buy a trackpad & integrate that into the case too. Even with the trackpad, you are looking at less money than the touch-screen. You could also go big-guns on this by mounting a nice, big PC LCD screen in the side pannel of the case...

I know this idea is not as streamlined and cool sounding as your idea, but it seems a bit more possible, and a lot cheaper...and my way allows you to see all of your temps at once, all the time, without using any system resources to do it.

If you don't feel like dealing with fiberglass, you can get cement designed just for ABS plastic at the local home depot/lowes/etc...in the plumbing department.

Yep, that stuff is cool too I never thought of the trackpad or track ball that would be cool I am using a 65 inch dlp 1080p and therefore I am going to have a problem with some of that idea, I know on my current pc I dont have to run the same monitor, I will check on the whole resolution thing. When it comes down to fiberglass no worries there I am very fluent with the stuff, I was a supervisor at Best Buy in the install Bay for 5 years, Manager at Circuit city Car audio for 1 year and supervisor at shades window tinting in Hewitt for 2 years we did alot of custom car audio at shades and CC, not to much at BB but I also do grafting cowls on hoods and other minor body work. I also have one of the few T-birds with Lambo doors, cars are my passion and I love being different, I also like to show off anyway I am going to figure this out I wonder if I could do a 5-7 inch screen for the case screen with a pointer pad or track ball and the fake ipod touch for cpu info, huh now my gears are grinding, smoke is coming out of my ears now. I am gonna be playing with this for along time lol.
