I recently put a new case on my ds, it was one of the shock! brand ones. The replacement went very smoothly and everything seemed fine, but now my touch screen doesnt work at all. At first it would kinda work, it could register that I was touching it, but that was about it. I opened it back up to make sure all the wires were connected (even though I didnt mess with the touch screen or its wires at all) and everything look fine. Now, it doesnt work at all.
    Any help would be appreciated.

does the ds still turn on at all? my guess would be when you opened the back some wire fell loose from its socket.

then yea, i think the problem would be the wires inside. perhaps it was loose the first time, thats why it only kind of worked, and when you poped the back open, it came out. id double check the wires.

Im pretty sure I found the problem, but I have a new one now. I wired the microphone in wrong, it looks like its supposed to push the touch screen's ribbon cable against the pins. I can rewire the mic no problem, but I took the touch screen ribbon cable out of the chip on the motherboard, and cant seem to get it back in. I can get the tip of it in, but its not secure at all. I know you flip the black part of the chip up to remove the cable, but only seems to make things harder when putting the cable back in. Has anybody replaced their touch screens and can give me advice on how to put the ribbon cable back in?
