touchscreen tft

    thinking of buying a touch screen monitor 15"
    has anyone got any views on these type of screens
    like pros and cons because i dont want to dive in ands spend £699 if there crap.

    Welll I cant reaklly give ya a pro or con because I havnt the foggiest what you intend to use it for -- I can say a keyboard is probaby more precise and faster and a CRT is sharper but I dont know

    cheers i saw 1 the other day and liked the look of it but its the first time ive seen 1 so thats why i posted to see if it was worth getting i thought it would save using the mouse do you know if this is what it does because if it don't then i wont bother

    ps how many post does it take to move fron jnr member up can't see anywhere if the forum

    Well consider this for touchscreen lcds ... how exactly do you boundbox-drag and zoom in using a supposed mousewheel? :) If you intend to play virtually any non-turnbased game, you're gonna have quite some difficulty :)

    yeh you use 2 fingers on the screen drag 1 and let the other 1 go (so u can drag)it takes a while to master ps u can have a mouse conected to the comp aswell

    You are correct however this is hardly effective nor efficient in a fast paced game of say, CnC Generals (not just because selecting units becomes a serious chore but scrolling around becomes a challenge hehe).
