    it takes a total of about 3 hours for nero 6 to transcode a dvd,then about 5 minutes to burn it, anyone know how i can speed up the "menu and transcoding" process, so the total burn doesnt take about 3 hours?

    That depends on a couple of things, Firstly, do NOT multitask while transcoding or burning, turn off all unnecessary progs including spyware and secondly your comp specs.
    3 hours is NOT excessively long, long yes, but not excessive.

    What I was asking for was your Computer specs, you have read my post wrongly.

    Sorry gwendolin for breaking into your thread
    @crazyantt
    Ill repost my previous answer here about the king kong conversion as Nephilim has closed the thread we were working on (I dont really no why it was a totaly different problem but hes the mod and I aint gunna argue)

    For freeware
    extract the mpeg from the bin/cue file with vcdgear
    load the resulting mpeg into here

    Old Freeware Version Of Divxtodvd
    http://freedownload.softonic.de/windows/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_0.52.99.exe
    if you like it you can buy the new updated version from VSO

    convert the resulting files into an iso with dvd shrink
    and burn the iso with dvd decrypter

    or if you have Nero vision load the mpeg you extacted into make dvd

    The downloads and gudes for the freeware are on my page follow the link in my sig
