Transcoding will not start?

    I tried to make a movie using nero vision 4 and while it was preparing to transcode it just froze and would not move anyone no the problem?

    Does it do this will all file types?

    You might try a different type and take the one you have now out of the available videos just in case it is causing problems.

    It only happens with the same movie all the other ones work and it is the same file format as the others (avi).

    Patience! Shut down everything you don't need running (including the internet - shut the router off), give Nero top priority, save the project, try to transcode again and when it freezes go find something to do for a half hour or so. If it's still locked up restart your computer, go through it all again but don't transcode. Export the movie and Nero will try to fix it - exporting good quality takes hours. I get one every so often and I'm convinced it isn't Nero - there's something wrong with the vid. Another way is to convert the avi to DVD with WinAVI then recode it with Nero.

    Have you tried to play the avi files on your pc? If can't maybe need codec or be broken. :)

    Yep i have played the file on my pc and it works and this is the only movie it happens to.

    Maybe can use winavi for a try.Convert to dvd then burn.
