Hiya, I'm having a lot of trouble getting a cable to use for FTP'ing files to the system. Is it possible for me to take a CD-RW and put files on it and put them in the Xbox...? I'd use a CD-R or DVD-R but I don't want to waste CD's. Will a DVD-RW work better? I have the burning capabilities but I don't know if the Xbox can read them.
Xboxs like DVD-Rs, but I think a CD-RW would work, all Xboxs are different. But, just use the File Explorer to transfer the roms and emulator to E: Emulator. I think thats how it works, make sure there is a default.xbe in that folder too. For ur FTPing problem, is your IP on static, or DHCP? EDIT: Or, you could just use DVDtoXbox, or whatever that program is, its on AID-3.0+.
FTP is out of the question, period... My router doesn't let my Xbox connect and I can't find the right cable to do it directly. So, if I use this File Explorer, I can actually just put a bunch of emulators and roms on a CD/DVD and copy them over?
My networking tutorial can show you how to set up for FTP. The CD copying way will work also! AID v4.10 is much easier though!
This thread is now about whatever questions I have about this, thus I won't go and spam the forum with new threads every time I need help.
