Transfer xbox live membership?

    I bought a second hard drive for my 360, which has an xbox live account on it, it has 11 months remaining subscription, I wanted to know if I could transfer this subscription to my own previous xbox live account, since I dont want to be using the previous owners account, one problem is I dont know his details, login, etc. Any suggestions?

    i am pretty sure there is an option to update account details, try to just update with your info.
