Transfering fav channels

    Mods Im trying to transfer my fav channels on my SV2 to an SV3 im doing all the usual things cable transfer data etc but nothing happening and ive done it 100 before any ideas?thanks in advance

    Hi Eva ;) @ Paddy cant be done the SV2 CDF is incompatible with an SV3. The SV3 maps channels as per the CC list.

    So basically he can download a channel dump for the SV3 then?

    Edit: can you look at the Replay Lite thread scouser, i dont know the answer and gman or moggs or brian dont seem to be around. :)

    Sorry Eva no regards an SV3 channel dump. Like the SV4 there is no way off downlading a CDF, (well there is but makes no sense). The SV3 & SV4 both map channels as per any subbed box. So they assign channels to their respective channel numbers, well they do in most case :)

    Will have a look over at your house now ;)

    Just had a look and ran away :) Only joking. I am not up on the Replay that much, although have messed around with one or two. I would say a hard boot reflash may do the trick. He needs to unplug the box, start the download, wait a few seconds and then turn the box on.

    It may take a few attempts before it takes. Other than that its a hardware issue. Sorry to say I have not taken any Replays apart......yet. Have to say they usually seem bulletproof.

    Could you relay the info onto the OP as its your domain ;)

    Nothing stopping you posting in the replay thread scouser, most of the other posters seem to be around less and less, it seems to be a bit hit and miss there these days! ;)

    I know you started it :) I do get around I have been here for a while and my interests may seem to be just in the DVB forum. But I do a lot of reading not just within the boundaries of here and the safety valve, but throughout the whole forum.

    Its a wealth of knowledge. But as said I post here and on many other forums,(have done for years), but stick to my theme :) I see its all good banter but I have seen other forums where "safety" turns to something else.

    Dont mind me I am just a stubborn grump :) Have to head off have a good evening and speak to you soon.
