Let me begin by saying that everyone at afterdawn has been an extremely huge help to me as far as softmodding my xbox goes. Every time I google something, it always seems to bring me back here, and I find the answer here. That's quite nice. I apologize in advance if there's another thread dealing with the same issue as what I'm looking for. I used the search button like I was supposed to and I've found lots of things that come close to what I'm looking for, just not exactly. I used the Splinter Cell Gamesave to softmod my box and I have Evox dashboard. I'm using a router and I have successfully connected my PC to my xbox. I'm able to transfer the files to my Xbox folders, but my box doesn't find my software. Example: I transferred the SNES9x emulator to the E: drive of my xbox. On my flashFXP screen, the file transferred successfully. According to the tutorials, the evox dashboard is supposed to automatically recognize the file and put it under apps/games. This isn't happening. The emulator file was a .rar file so I downloaded WinAce to change it over, but I'm not sure if I did that right so that might be the problem. Also, I made sure to get the folder with the default.xbe file in it too. I'm sure the answer's right in front of me, I just don't really know what I'm looking for - much less how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
If you want a good tutorial with many pictures on how to do this, you can go to the website in my signature and register. (I know that AD doesn't like this, but in this case, this we have good tutorials on ftp and emulators.) But I'm not posting the link in this post...it is simply in my signature. Or you can do this. Create a folder in E called Emulators. Put your whole folder of snesx in there. Restart your xbox and see if its there. If it's not, then go to my website. Or if you want direct links to the rest of the emulators and a tutorial on how to get surreal64 to work, check out the website. I'll be willing to bet that the site will come in handy for anyone who wants to ftp or use emulators. But we specialize in halo 2 stuff. So check out our nonmodding tutorials section.
well underglow you gotta make sure that in the program you downloaded there was a file called default.xbe if there isnt then it wont be recognized and you cant run the program!
