Hello, I am a newbie, of course, so I was counting on you other guys that have been here to answer this question. Is it possible to transfer a working operating system that I have on one computer (Microsoft Media Center Edition) to another Windows computer (a working Home Edition)? Thanks.

As in a direct transfer from one to another to dual boot, or replace the current OS...not likely.

However, using a different definition of "transfer", yes it is possible.

If you have the retail version of Media Center Edition (not OEM from Dell, HP or Compaq etc)...you can format the computer you want it on, install Media Center using your retail key and CD, and then remove it from the computer it was originally on.
