Hi, my problem is uninstalling Trend Anit Virus 2008, twice I have deleted from my programs, twice it has come back, but this last time I cannot even find it, yet the icon is still there and it is still installed, can't delete it if I can't find it and even that didn't work. What it does is prevent me from getting on the internet, when I try to it says Trnd has blocked internet access. I can exit ouit of it for my seesion, but when I first turn on my computer, it goes thru a 1/2 hous updates, so I can't exit out of it until it finishes. I have Verizon security, seems to work okay, don't need Trend, but don't know how to get rid of it, any help or suggestions? Thanks in advance for helping me.
How are you trying to uninstall it? . . .twice I have deleted from my programs." That's not how you typically uninstall/delete software. Method 1. Start --> Programs --> the program has a drop down for "uninstall program" Method 2. Start --> Control Panel --> Add/remove programs
I go to programs, install/uninstall program, but it is not there. It was once there, uninstalled it, but it is still on the computer and I can't find it, nothing comes up under search, when I deleted the program it was called Trend Anti Virus so the name I'm searching for is correct.
