Hey, I'm trying to update my video drivers for a game I bought..Civilization IV.

So it's using ATI software. I downloaded an .exe program I need to use but when I click on it, I get this message.

    16 BIT WINDOWS SUBSYSTEM
c:/windows/system/autoexec.nt This system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications. Click close to terminate.

I get two options ignore and close, clicking on either just closes and nothing happens. Why do I get this?

This same message actually happens to me too when I try to install my Grandt Theft Auto game, the first version I have on CD. This never used to happen before coz I tried that same GTA game before, like maybe months ago and it worked but now I get this eorror message...someone know what this is or help me out?..

    Thnx

go thru windows explorer not internet explorer to your windows\repair folder. copy autoexec.nt from that folder & paste it in your windows\system folder. try that driver again.

don't delete the 1 in the repair folder as you need it to fix the system's autoexec.nt
