Downloadeded Trial Version Of Nero 7 Ultra Edition from Nero web site
today. Spoke with Nero Customer Support (Pre-Sales) and explained I want a program to remove TV Commericals from DVD and VHS. He walked me thru install and said I only need to look at Nero Vision 4.

I select Trimline and follow Help files on this but cannot remove or cut the commerical out. Do I need to install another selection from the download to complete this task? The TV program is saved as a mpeg file if that matters. Can someone please help me? Never used Nero before.
    Thank you in advance

I would recommend using the VirtualDub Mod for editing the commercials out. It is a free and very easy to use program. It has a direct stream method which will preserve all quality of the MPEGs. You can only out put them in to AVI format though.

Then use Nero Vision to transcode them to DVD format for burning.

To trim the commercials simply press home at the beginning of the clip to mark the start point, click end before the commercial. Press home after the commercial..and repeat. Click streams->direct copy, then click File->Save As and you can save them as an AVI using the codec of your choice.

If you need more help with Virtual Dub Mod let me know.

Virtual Dub Mod can be found here http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdubmod/VirtualDubMod_1_5_10_2_All_inclusive.zip?download
and you may want to upgrade the CVS from here http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889&package_id=69373

NOTE: Have not tested that method but see no reason it should not work.
