Triple X DivX No Sound

    I downloaded triple x but i have no sound, when i checked the file info the only thing about AUDIO was the bitrate and the length, but it doesnt say anything about the compression, i tried ffdshow, divfix and virtualdub but none works. others have the same file but it say something about the aduio compression under the file info. would be great if anybody knows how to solve the problem!!

    Did you truy the Divx AC3 codec? You can get it off kazaa the easiest.

    thx for the help but it didn't work. i installed the codec and ran the RUNMEFIRST file lol, but when i tried to start MP3 SET STEREO an error message comes up saying: THIS PROGRAM IS ONLY FOR DIVX VERSION OF THE MP3 RADIUM'S CODEC. i tried to go on the website for further help but it wasn't available so i'll hope you (or somebody else) can help me out on this one hehe!

    PS: i tried playing the movie with: windows media player, global divx 1.9.9, viplay 2.01, winamp lol, virtual dub but the sound didnt work with any of those.

    No No No lol. You just described the normal DivX Mpeg 4 codec. There is a divx ac3 codec that will allow you to play ac3 audio on your .avi files using something like WinDVD.

    I'm not quite sure what exactly to do, i installed all the newest codecs (DivX 5.01 or 5.02), xvid, ac3 filters and the divx 3.11 alpha player. didnt work. then i downloaded the MICRO-DVD PLAYER, didnt work with that either, even though this player is pretty fast concerning forwarding!!!! maybe i'm doing all wrong, maybe the file just doesnt have sound lol, but others downloaded it from me and it worked for them :(

    Did you get any info on the file before you downloaded it??

    yeah, some said that there is no sound, but i downloaded it anyways lol. but then people downloaded it from me and it worked for them, thats the weird part. i downloaded triple x again, another file, but it has no sound again. not quite sure what to do, this suxx, i never had such problems before (and i downloaded like 120 friends episodes and about 2 dozen movies. i downloaded triple x in pretty bad quality, the sound worked but the picture was horrible, cant i somehow take the sound from the one movie and combine it with the good quality triple x? i cant imagine that works but who knows what people program ^^. thx for the help again :) i greatly appreciate it!

    You could ofcoarse try and multiplex the sound to the other movie but it would be about 99.9% sure that it would fall out of sync!

    Its a bit strange alright that the movie has no sound. Find out what those people you sent it to have codec wise.

    not quite sure how to do that, they uploaded it from me via kazaa, but the next time i see somebody downloading i'll try! well, thank you for trying to solve my problem, i'll just keep downloading until i'll get the right version of the movie :) by the way i guess it's kinda illegal to keep saying what movie i downloaded lol :)

    I had the same problem.
    And i have the solution that works for me.

    First of all start up Kazaa or Kazaalite.
    the go to the searchfield search all
    Type in AC3 codec.
    in the search results you must search for a file named.

    divx-ac3-codec.sharereactor.exe

    of this codec there are different versions, not all work.
    for me the one that worked was the one with the filesize 751KB.
    This is the one with the unregister.
    Just to be sure it works register both the 98 and NT version of the codec.
    it worked for me I hope it works for you.

    OMG OMG OMG its working!!!! yeeha, the ac3 codes i had before was only 730kb, i downloaded the one you said (751), and installed it (eventhough the installation was in russian!) and its working!
    thx guys for the help, i can finally stop downloading everything called TRIPLE X lol :)

    Can u please post a direct link to that file? I looked on Kazza but only got one which is 729kb, and that doesn't work.. thanks

    i'm not quite sure but i think you have to open this file with sig2dat and then execute it in kazaa!

    I've downloaded movies before and had to delete them due to the fact that I couldn't hear any sound.
    After frusterating the hell out of myself, I would relent and press the hated delete button.
    But NOW its working. I never realized that I was missing this audio codec!

    I couldn't find it on Kazzaa so I searched the net and found www.xs4all.nl and this site had the ac3 codec there.

    There is an excellent ac3 codec on sharereactor too so ye all might wanna check it out!

    Hey people, I got the 751kb AC3 codec and installed it but still Triple X does not have sound. Is there another codec I might need to get besides the usuals? Thanks for your help
