trobule in cd writing

    I have a sony-q28a dvd-rw dual layer and windows xp-sp2(5.1) 384RAM p4IBM laptop. So the writer is working as an external writer.But while i am writing any image & set up files the burn process stoped at 5% or 16% .I cann't able remove my cd also.Will anyone help me on this topic.

    Do you get an error log when the burn fails? Would help if you would post it.
