I have a PC & a MAC. I have been moving things over to the MAC. I installed Avast anti-software and it said it found some virus's but I wasn't satified that it took care of it so reading this site I heard about ClamXay. I still have Avast on my computer but I also downloaded ClamXav and I have received the following report. Not sure what I am supposed to do now? Hope someone can help. Thanks, Franchise Geek /Users/phyllispieri/Downloads/ComboFix.exe: Trojan.Agent-9385 FOUND /Users/phyllispieri/Library/Mail/POP-ppieri@mail.matchpointnetwork.com/INBOX.mbox/Messages/4996.emlx: Email.Phishing.RB-2231 FOUND ****** The above file looks like it may be part of an email mailbox, please think carefully about what to do with this file. If it has been quarantined, you may end up losing some email. I suggest you leave this file where it is (or move it back if it's been quarantined) and delete suspicious messages from within your email client. ****** ----------- SCAN SUMMARY ----------- Known viruses: 194462 Engine version: 0.92 Scanned directories: 2483 Scanned files: 31472 Infected files: 2 Data scanned: 55128.98 MB Time: 9629.465 sec (160 m 29 s) ClamXav v1.1.0 - ClamAV 0.92/5525/Tue Jan 22 12:43:38 2008 - ClamXav One or more infected files were found, but were left where they are. Hi ppieri If the file you are worried about is Combofix.exe bing detected as Trojan.Agent-9385, I assure you that you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Combofix is a malware removal program which uses malware-like behavior to attack malware itself. There is nothing for you to worry about if Combofix is detected as malware. The other detection made by ClamXAV is simply a detection of one of your emails being a phishing email. That is nothing to worry about either, and you can simply delete the email. Best Regards
