Trojan Horse "Clicker" in Nero?

I recently upgraded my Nero to 7.5.1.1 and have had trouble ever since. When I try to burn (by first transcoding) AVI movies and DIVX that I have downloaded from the net, Nero Vision will transcode "successfully". Then when I burn to a DVD, the movie burns fine. When I try to play the DVD either on my computer or Player, there is a high pitched, loud "clicking" sound from start to finish. I have WEbroot Spysweeper, PCCillin and AVG antivirus on my system. Spysweeper and PC Cillin are pretty to look at but stink on ice in service. Only the lowly "free" version of Grisoft's AVG antivirus found what appears to be the culprit...a trojan horse AVG identified as "Clicker Trojan Horse". AVG removed it but one of several things has happened. Either the trojan has re-activated itself, or it has infected Nero at some level, or it infected my Morpheus movies already, therefore trying to make new DVDs of those movies will always include the trojan. Has anybody heard of the "Clicker Trojan Horse?" in Nero or anywhere else?

Since no one else answered, back up your data and various software license keys and reformat. Do not try and repair or reuse Windows or your existing software. More and more malware is unremovable even by professionals with the best tools.

Hmmm.... I have AVG Free, Norton, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Spybot Search & Destroy and so far none of them see any (there's none) "clicker trojan" whatsoever. Maybe it's in the file that you've downloaded from the net, possibly inside the movie.

yes thats most likely your problem the file you downloaded NOT nero. BTW you shouldnt run 2 virse scan programs it will lag your system. the Trend Mirco PC-cillin 2007 is the better program over avg.

run "SmithfraudFix" and post a log file

Well, I had that clicking sound plus pixelling as soon as I installed the version after 7082. Burning an avi file with NV4 was impossible. Curiously, with the the last one, 7.5, NV4 «seems» to run fine. But I put back 7082 because Showtime has invalid file, Nerovision.exe sends messages to Microsoft, so I am back to the old 7082

Hi I also installed nero premium 7.5.1.1. and imediately my pc started to act up. I have norton systemworks,spybot,trojan-hunter,spysweeper,pc bug doctor, error doctor all installed on my pc which did find various infected files. I also ran the free online pc scan from microsoft, which also corrected a few things, but when I booted up my computer it was still not right. Eventually my friend told me to use avast virus scanner which I did and it found a virus which all of the above failed to detect. The virus was called WIN 32 TROGANO-CE [Trj] it was removed then I used the nero 7 clean-tool to rid the nero 7.5.1.1. version, and I re-installed my previous version 7.0.5.2. The only problem I have now is my right mouse button does not work so I cannot access folders to view properties - so if anyone could help with that problem I would be oblidged.
