Hi, if your current anti-virus software isn't getting rid of the virus then you should try the on-line Microsoft one care scan. It gets rid of viruses spy ware and Trojans. Here's the link http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/howsafe.htm
Ok, even if that does work then you should do windows malicious software scan
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...&displaylang=en
I use windows defender now as anti-spyware, it's really good. You don't have to download windows defender but if you got this virus or spyware because of your current anti-spyware you should download it :
    http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security...re/default.mspx
By the way, all of these products are free. If none of these things work then you should do a system restore to a date and an earlier date if that doesn't work before you had the virus.

    Roy,

I had that one once and it's a bitch

I couldnt get rid of it

then my son suggest something that worked

i uninstalled avast! (free anti-virus program) because it wouldnt kill vundo and installed AVG (free anti-virus program)

AVG found it and killed it

of course this might be a different variant

    i'll check back with ya

    Roy,

    1. Save these instructions in word or notepad to the desktop where they can be easily found.

2.Download VundoFiX and save it to your desktop.

    3. Boot into safe mode.

    4. Open VundoFix.exe

    5. Click the Scan for Vundo button.

    6. Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.

    7. You will now receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click the YES button. Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.

    8. When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click the OK button.

    9. When the computer has shutdown, turn your computer back on.

Once you have done all of that, download HijackThis and post the log.

    Thanks.
