I burnt a multisession data iso DVD disc following the instructions in the Burning Rom Manual... I ticked multisession, and it's not finalized, and burnt alot of my application setup.exe's onto a New Sony AccuCORE DVD+RW which filled up half the disc. I saved the project, and am now attempting to add files to the project compilation. I opened the project and I added the few selected files (only 1 MB) that I intend to add to the disc by dragging them over as usual, when i go to burn... I select [bold]"continue multisession disc" + "refresh compilation when importing session"[/bold] and ticked [bold]"add new files to compilation"[/bold]. I go to burn and before anything happens it says [bold]"The disc in the drive is not empty. Writing to this disc will erase any existing data on it. Do you want to proceed?" [/bold]and even if I say yes to proceed it just repeats the error until I cancel, the disc ejects, and aborts the burn. [bold]WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG HERE!!! I should just be able to add a couple of files to this disc right? [/bold] BTW I am only using rewritables because in case of just this kind of trouble so i don't keep wasting many discs with practicly nothing writen on them and having them turn out garbage due to some error. Please HELP !!! This shouldn't be so difficult for me... I'm an Informed Novice when it comes to this kind of stuff... Any help would be great!!!
Hello. I just tried duplicating your problem and could not. I check/unchecked refresh the compilation and there was no difference. I checked/unchecked the replace with no differences. Could one of the files had the same name as one of the files already in the compilation? Was "replace existing files: checked? Try deselecting "refresh compilation when importing session" and see if that works.
Perhaps you did not create an ISO DVD, but an UDF or UDF-ISO DVD. From the Nero help (6.6.0.18): Please note that Nero does not yet support Multisession UDF-CDs and that therefore UDF or UDF-Bridge Sessions must be written on blank CDs.
