Okay, I think this is possible and I was hoping to get some assistance. I have the game Mafia for PC, and what I want to do is mount it on a virtual drive so I don't have to have the cd in my computer to play the game. I tried using the feature Nero has to create an iso, as well as the one to mount it, and I just get a list of errors about unreadable sectors. I suppose this is because of some small scratches on the disk. Is that right? Can I even play the game if i create the image and do this to it? I searched on this site, but had no luck. All posts are appreciated.

It still wouldn't matter even if you would be able to mount it because the cd-check would still recognice it as backup.
You need a No-CD crack to play without cd.
Google can tell you more about that and search from this forum (if I recall right) will give you the name of a place where to get those.
There are several places where to get those cracks so happy hunting.

    I was just wondering...
    Isn't downloading cracks illegal?

If you legally own the game, 'patches' are not illegal.
    BUT
If you dont legally own the game, yes it is fully illegal.
