Thanks for Replying... 1. I agree that I am using an older version of Nero. I did have Nero 7, but was still having trouble so I Unistalled it and Installed Nero 5. But.. When you refer to Low Memory. Are you referring to: Free physical memory: 67MB (68744kB) How can I get memory? What are your suggestions?
I suggest at least another 256 meg for the system. Your os will be taking most of what you have now to run. In the mean time dont multitask and try enditall2 right before burning to shutdown many processes that are not needed at that time. I forgot also to mention. The only disks I have used a few of with this tag where datawrite and I.M.H.O. they are crap.
I don't like this media you're using. I suggest Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Sony, Fuji, and MAxell are just as good as long as they are made in Japan. Now to answer your questions: Nero 6 seems to be the best right now, little to no bugs left in them with all the updates that have come out. What kind of problems were you haveing with Nero 7? Yes I assume he is talking about your RAM. You have 256MB of RAM right now. 512 is considered the minimum for DVD burning. YOu can buy it online, but there are hundreds of diff kind of RAM out there (PC3200, PC2700, PC133 etc. Then there are sockets 184 etc) so I can't tell you exactly what is compatible with your comp. I see you have beaten me to the button whompus, I guess I did take a while to write this though.
Its all good as long as the user gets an answer. I kinda consider 512 minimun for anything now that it is so cheep to purchase. The thing to consider is that windows seems to take around 140 to 150 meg to operate properly. Add to that nero seems to want around 80 meg for the buffer to run good and there is most of 256 gone.
Hey Guys (whompus & GlueEater) thank you both for your response. Im at work so Im going to go home and def lookin into this. Please excuse the newbie questions. Please follow up on this post, if you will. Im going to check this out and possibly post again soon. Thanks again!!
