I am using an imac g3 with a lacie d2 8x dvd external dvd drive. I am ripping using Macthe Ripper followed by DVD2one. Finally I am burning using Toast6. I get playback just fine on my computer/excellent quality. However I get a "no play" error on my standalone Pioneer DVD player. I have tried Imation DVD+RW, memorex DVD-R, and Fuji Film DVD-R media. Help me please.
If it plays fine on your computer, it would suggest a media issue. I would suggest trying dvd+r from a reputable supplier (ritek, verbatim). Some players (espcially older ones) are fussier than others
I have successfully played a memorex dvd on my standalone Pioneer DVD player with a DVD created by someone else. So, I don't think it is a media problem. Any other suggestions?
My guess is it's your process. The way your programs are encoding. Try using AnyDVD or DVD43 + DVD2One + CopyToDVD. Or get DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter(both free)
DVD shrink and DVD43 are not MacOS compatible. The DVD that I palyed on my Pioneer standalone was not ripped. It was just DVD video from a digital video camera burned onto a Memrox DVD+r. But, I think that tells me it probebly is not a media problem rather a process problem. I need some help from someone with experience with Mac OS, Macthe ripper, DVD2one, Toast6. If you have anymore suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
