Trouble reading dvd+r in dvdrom drive

    Hi all. I'm fairly new to this huge world of dvd burning. My question relates to my LITE-ON DVD+RW LDW-401s.

    When backing up files and the dvd has finished burning, my normal LG dvdrom drive can't read the dvd at all. why????

    Also, can anyone recommend a nice simple, effective yet powerful DVD creation software... where I can watch home movies, karaoke mpgs, etc.

    I believe my question is a genuine one. Are there people out there who really can't help me? Coming from a smaller country town, it makes it hard to recieve accurate information regarding latest technology.

    Did I post this question in the wrong forum?

    Well probably it just doesn't support DVD+R and supports only DVD-R. I am pretty sure for that especially if the DVD you have wrote can be read from your DVD+RW drive. If your drive can write DVD-R try one of those.

    Sounds good to me. Thanks #afonic. I didn't even THINK about that! I'll be sure to test a DVD-R in the DVD Rom.
