im having a problem viewing a [bold]AVI file[/bold] when i try to view it on quick time player all i see is a screen that looks similar to the color screen that we get during a bradcasting test, and that its i click on play and it goes to the end still showing the color screen. i know they has to be something there because it say it has 109 min.

i'd also like to add that i tried converting the file to a DivX file and tried to view it using DivX Player and it didnt show me anything but a black screen then when i try to close the DivX i get a message saying that the DivX Player is not responding.

    please help me people.

    thanking you in advance. :)

That might be 109 minutes of a broadcasting test :).Try converting it to a different format using WinAvi by ZJ media and see what happens.

It could be that the File is Corrupted or that you have some Sort of Codec conflict going on.....Maybe Try Loading the AVI file into "Virtual-Dub" and see if it can read the File, It should also give you a Message if there is a Corrupt Header and it also has a Feature for Scanning for Corrupt Frames so you should be able to Find out if the File is OK useing it....

    cheers
