I tried a free trial of 1-click a few months ago. It was looked cool, but I did not have alot of time to mess with it. I uninstalled it, made sure that the program files folder for it was gone, and deleted the registry keys for LG Software. I assumed that the program had a good enough uninstaller to remove all traces of itself, but I was mistaken. The other day, I had some time, and saw that there was a new version available to try. I downloaded it, and installed the new version to try it out and see what new features it had. When I tried to run it to try it out, however, it would not let me run it and was asking for a registration key. Why did this happen? Was there an obscure file or files that did not get cleaned off the system with the uninstall or a registry key that needs to be removed? Please help, so I can get my PC cleaned up and try out the new version. Thanks.
you will really need to do a though clean out nof the registry as it leaves files everywhere and not just in one folder. Instead of mucking around in the registry i would suggest a clean install and that should fix all your probs.
The reinstall failed. I wrote the software manufacturer, and they said that there was some registry key stopping it from working, but would not say which one. That would affect all trial versions that I installed. Any ideas?
