Trouble with editing in Nero Vision Express

Nero Vision Express tried to make it too easy or somehting
so I can't figure out how to do a simple edit.

I would prefer being able to do a time range edit,
then a second, then a third.

All this slider stuff in NVE doesn't want to accomplish anything.

Either the edit takes place in the wrong part or doesn't take place
at all. The preview always returns to the beginning of the job.


I can't see how to edit as would be done in an audio file where
the range up to the time index is deleted. Using a slider is all
guesswork.

Has any of this been improved in nero 7?
