have dvd x platinum and love it, but sometimes it won't copy movies like spanglish and hitch. Please don't tell me to ditch dvx platinum. It is too easy and cost a mint. Any suggestions fellow newbies?

dvd x platinum is not going to work with any of the new movies. Unless you run anydvd in the background. I would suggest you go with dvd decrypter and dvd shrink for your back up needs. Check the tabs at the top for detailed guides on how to use the two programs. Dvd decypter rips the movie to your hard drive, dvd shrink to compress the movie so it can fit on 1 disc, and back to Dvd Decrpyter to burn. Dvd x platinum: $150.00, Dvd shrink, Decrypter: free.

    humerus1 ,
furydog is correct as you will need AnyDVD to run the the background as X-Copy can not do these movies w/o some help. FYI there is a X-Copy forum : http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/

I am sorry I missed the part where you did not want to ditch it. Use anydvd to decrypt in the background and it should work fine. I'm not sure if you could use it with decrypter. Its hard to make the leave dvdx but I did and I will never go back. I hope I was somewhat helpful.
