alright i know this sounds really dumb because i know its super easy. i just cant figure it out though. im trying to create a home network. i have a wireless router that connects to the family pc via wired connection and connects to my own pc wirelessly. i have all my music on my pc, so i want to share it with the family pc, so i can play it from there. i shared 'my music' from my pc but it wont show up on the family pc. i know that the wireless pc is connected to the network and i assume that the wired one is in the network because, well, its connected directly to the router. help please!

Some wireless routers, mostly the 54 mbps family have no option for transmitting data.they Only allow WAN (internet)
connections and some other extra's like printer sharing etc.

    Your equiptment is fine/

Make sure all your computes are on the same workgroup

usually mshome or something like that.

Then, go to each computer, and make sure the file sharing options are enabled, and firewalls are not blocked traffic.

Then go to your router, and make sure both computer are showing up,

    and take it from there.

alright i go to my network places and see that both computers are in the network (MSHOME). The files that are on my computer are being shared on the network. But when i go on the family computer, look at work group computers, and then click on my computer, it says its not accessible and that i need to contact the administrator about permissions, or something like that. What do i need to do?
