Troubles Updating Vista Service Pack 1

    Hi,

    When I try to update to Vista Service Pack 1 via windows updates I keep getting the error code 80070246 stating the update failed. I have re-tried a number of times without success. Can any tell me how to install this update properly?. Thanks.

    I had the same issues with a different error code, but several codes point to the same thing.

    I needed to turn auto-updates back on before it would let me download sp1 (even manually) strange but switching it back on worked for me.
