Hi ... when I log out of Windows on either username on my computer, I get an error that has to close out and then freezes - it says it is closing TRSDKd. What is this and how do I correct it? Thank you for any help. --- Brian

    Might that be spyware?

I don't think it is spyware ... I emailed Microsoft's help desk, and they told me to try unchecking all the boxes in the Startup tab of msconfig. I did that and it still gives me the problem.

    TRSDK

Total Recorder Virtual Sound Driver SDK (Software Development Kit}.
Software Development Kit that can be imbedded into applications that must monitor, capture or modify the output sound stream to the sound card.

This virtual sound driver is used by Total Recorder and may be used by other sound recording applications that may have licensed it's use.

    Solutions Maybe?

    1. Contol Panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Audio Tab. Select a different Default Recording Device when it is not being used or before shut down.

    2. Check the Advanced settings for that device.

3 Uninstall or reinstall any sound recording software that may be using this virtual sound driver.

It is not part of Windows. It has been installed because you have used Total Recorder or some other sound recorder program. If you don't want it you will have to uninstall whatever program installed that driver. Doing that should remove that driver but if it doesn't you may have to run some registry cleaner program or manually edit the registry. You may have to search your computer and registry for TRSKD.

I have used Total Recorder in the past and must have had that driver at some point, but it is not installed right now and I don't want to, just to check out that driver.
