I am looking for a hdtv that displays true 1080p(no 1080i 3-2 pulldown). I have been looking around and it seems that all the 1080p tvs can only display 1080i. I do not want a plasma, and would prefer 50 inches or larger. Can someone point me to what tvs actually display this resolution. Also, when will most hdtv's be equipped to display 1080p?
If you want a fifty inch non plasma 1080p tv that excepts 1080p signals then your asking for a DLP projection. Check this out... http://www.samsung.com/Products/TV/DLPTV/HLS5688WXXAA.asp There is nothing wrong with 1080p tvs that only except 1080i signals, especially when viewing movies captured in 1080p@24fps. I'd rather wait for a tv that accepts 1080p and outputs 1080p.. they are hard to find now,i'd have to wait till after te ps3 gets released,i'm expecting all major tv shops to start getting big stocks of 1080p tv's round the beggining of next year...and when it does 720p tv's will be dirt cheap..
