Don't rely on any written documentation to get you out of *this* bind, Especially the manual.

The model I have is the 008-06-0950 TruTech Dvd Player...
I bought this peice of crap because I was tired of buying the best brands around the $300-600
range and have them malfunction and break in the same period of time that the $25 one would.

It probably has happened with every owner of this thing. You accidentally press the
'pscan/normal' button on the remote, and there's no return.

This is what I found that works, this is what you need:
    * 1 single rca-to-rca cable
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rca_cable

I'm assuming you are using the Svideo cable for your video to your receiver or to your tv.

For me, I have game hookup on the front of my tv, so it was really quick.

Just connect the "video out" from the back of the dvd to the video in some other input
(so you don't have to disconnect the svideo cable)

Switch to the *other* output on your tv using the tv/video button or something.
That should get you to be able to see the setup menu.

    Change the Video Mode:
Setup Menu | Video | Video Mode | TV-Out to S-Vido or Component which ever, and you should be good to go.

Hard Reset or Default the Settings:
Setup Menu | DVD | Default

Reset the dang thing blindly from the Remote:
    1.) Remove Disc
2.) Power off / Power back on
    3.) Push Setup / Wait 10 Seconds
    4.) right, right, right
    5.) enter
6.) down, down, down, down, down, down
    7.) right
    8.) enter

This is the script that works for me.
