I have tried several ways to add MPEG4(.m4v) formatted video to my ipod. They do not import and there were not listed in movies tab.

First I tried through itunes. I imported my three movies, didn't work. I added folder to library, didn't work. I then added file to library....yea nothing. I opened the ipods G: drive folder in my computer and pasted there...nothing. I then went back to itunes and started looking around...I noticed my three movies (The Matrix Trilogy in case you were interested) were under Tv Shows???? wtf? Ok....so I went to the Tv Shows tab and thought I could sync that way, but no...of course not. They aren't even listed in the box so I can check them and sync.

Do I have to use osmosis or something? I'm perfectly fine with holding my ipod against the computer and hoping the files transfer

Ok not alll videos can be imported by itunes, you are better off trying to convert the video using videora and try again, i have no problem when it comes to add videos to my classic. Good luck

I finally figured it out. They kept importing as TV shows...I right clicked each movie and selected get info then I changed them to video in the dropdown under the video tab. All is fine now and I have my movies on my ipod!!!
