So I was looking through some old games I have and saw Sims 2. I don't really want to store it anymore so I thought I'd make all the discs into iso's and save them onto my computer just in case I randomly decided to play it again. I made the iso's, was able to install the game with each iso's but when I go to launch the game now, it's telling me to "insert the correct CD-ROM". I have the correct iso mounted but it still gives me the same message. Can anyone help? I'm using PowerIso by the way.
Some forms of copy protection check the disk, and if it's not the original, the game wont start. Not sure what to suggest, except return to the original CD for these titles.
try imgburn to make an ISO of the disks and then you should be able to access them with an ISO mounting software like PowerISO or some other program of your choosing. Should be rather easy.... Let me know.
I have used one of those in the past and It did work. Good luck mmmmmm....... Maybe dvd43 would work as far as taking the copyright out.
