This may sound strange but i recently downloaded a PS2cd game which was unrared as an .iso file. Since it was an .iso file i burned with imgburn at 4x on a 12x Taiyo Yuden DVD-r. The disc did no work with a warning coming up on screen that stated this kind of disc will not play. I then burned at half disc speed to cd-r using alcohol 120%. Screen turned black after playstation 2 identification screen and stayed black. Tried the same using clonecd with same results. Any help please. File is of GARO ntsc-Jap ps2cd game.
    Thanks!

    Have added the following attepmts:

I've burned the .iso file using imgburn, dvddecryptor, and clonecd. I later turned the .iso into a .bin/cue file and burned with nero and alcohol 120% (always at slightly less than half disc speed). All attempts have left me with nothing more than a black screen.

Any ideas please let me know..........

its because some stupid idiot has incorrectly made the image,in turn the iso is the wrong mode
    you need to change it
use either a program called CDmage to make a bin image (proper mode)
alternatively you can use isobuster by extracting it
    right click on session 1/session 1 <image>/RAW (*.bin,*.iso)
If that dont work, then i dunno
