trying to convert,strange file type

    Downloaded a film and im getting a weird file type,not sure what type of file it is so all ive done here is copy'd and pasted the name of it.the file name is "mvn-tfatftdts.r01" and at the end of every file it has either .r02 . r03 right up to .r47.
    can somebody tell me what i need to do here please
