Okay i got this XVID movie which i tried converting to DVD format using TMPGenc, but every time I convert it, the video comes out fine but there is no audio.. I first tried to convert it as a XVID to DVD using TMPGenc, then I tried recoding the XVID file to DIVX using FourCC and VirtualDub.. then using TMPGEnc to convert the DIVX file to DVD format, but both methods came up with the same results. Video is fine, but NO Audio. I checked GSpot and the audio in use is AC3. Can someone help me in finding out why there is no Audio when the conversion to DVD format is complete? Also is there a way around this? Can I somehow strip the audio off the XVID file and somehow place it into the reencoded DVD Video Only file?
Try downloading an AC3 decoder and using VirtualDub to extract the audio as WAV or decompress it to PCM. Just ask if you need more detailed instructions-I'm running short on time right now.
Okay I think I already have the AC3 Decoder.. I have a program called "AC3 Filter" will that suffice? Can I get more detailed instructions on how to do what you mentioned with virtual dub? And how i'd implement that into the finished DVD encoded Video file?
Not sure about AC3 filter doing the trick, but there is another way. Try this guide: http://www.fixitsguide.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ac3audio.htm The method there should do the trick, but the end is a little vague. To use TMPGEnc to encode the video and audio from separate sources, open the video file normally, then click the button beside Audio and load the WAV file from headac3he.
