    Hi,

I am trying to make a copy of age of empires II. I have used the guide provided here with alcohol 120. I determined that the protection is safedisc V1 using clony xxl. Then, I set the data type to safedisc on alcohol and attempted to write the cd to an image file. However, when attempting to write the image, it gave me this error and froze the write process:

Age of Empires is Safedisc 1.30.010 protected, try writing the image at a lower speed, say 4x

    Thanks for your help.

I tried reducing the speed to 4X but to no avail. I get the same error message

    Any other ideas?

The Disc read error's are part of the Safedisc protection, they will end around 10,000 or so. Just let Alcohol do its thing and you should be all fine.

BTW it might take a while so just be patient.
